1. Our mission

World Opportunities Hub helps students, graduates and professionals find genuine opportunities without wasting time on dead links, fake scholarships or misleading promises. We publish information that is useful, clearly sourced and honest about what we know and do not know.

2. Sourcing

We publish opportunities based on primary sources wherever possible: the official funder, employer, university or programme website; official PDF calls and application guidelines; and official social accounts that link back to the primary source.

• We do not publish an opportunity solely because it appears in a forwarded message or an unverified social post.
• We prefer official application pages over third-party aggregators.
• Where a detail cannot be confirmed, we say so rather than inventing it.

3. Verification

Before publication, an editor aims to confirm:

• The organisation and programme are real and identifiable.
• The application link works and belongs to the official domain.
• Eligibility criteria and study level are stated accurately.
• The deadline is confirmed, or clearly marked as unconfirmed.
• There is no fee demanded from applicants as part of a legitimate application.

Listings display a “Verified” label only when this check has been completed. A listing without that label may still be under review or based on limited official information.

4. Writing

We write original summaries in plain language. We do not copy articles from other websites and present them as our own. Quotations are short, attributed and linked to the source. We explain who can apply, what the opportunity offers, what documents are needed and how to apply, based on the source material.

5. AI assistance

We may use AI tools to help draft or structure content from verified facts. AI-generated drafts are not published automatically. Every draft must be reviewed and approved by a human editor before publication, and facts are checked against the source. We do not use AI to fabricate opportunities, deadlines, eligibility rules or statistics.

6. Review and approval

Opportunities move through a clear workflow: draft → pending review → approved → published. Editors can reject or return a draft for correction. Only authorised administrators can publish, schedule or archive listings. Significant edits are recorded in the revision history.

7. Updates and expiry

We update listings when an organisation changes a deadline, link or requirement. When a deadline passes, we mark the opportunity as expired and keep the page available for reference unless the organisation asks us to remove it. Expired opportunities are excluded from default browse results and clearly flagged on their detail page.

8. Advertising and editorial separation

Advertising, if present, is labelled and visually separated from editorial content. Advertisers have no influence over which opportunities we publish, how we rank them, or what we write. We do not accept payment to label an opportunity as verified.

9. Independence and conflicts

Editorial decisions are made independently. If a team member has a personal or financial connection to an organisation or opportunity, they must disclose it and should not be the sole reviewer of that listing.
